GREEN CREDENTIALS

One of our first thoughts when we set up Kandles with kisses was to ensure that our products were sourced in the U.K. As we researched a number of ideas we realised that a number of exciting items could be found in Yorkshire and almost on our doorstep!

Our candles are made by a local company based just two miles from the school in Collingham. We have recently ordered another product from them, a diffuser in one of our most popular aromas Lime Basil . We aim to reduce packaging on the candle by not using boxes and using shredded recycled magazines to protect the product. For Valentine's day we will be using shredded Financial times newspapers to complete our pink themed packaging.

Our lip balms are made in the Yorkshire Dales just north of Ripon. The glass used is recycled and the balms contain all natural ingredients . The wax and honey that form the base of the product is sourced from the Harrogate and Ripon Beekeepers association. We have made many efforts to reduce our carbon footprint including recycling craft materials from home for use on our stand for example a spare roll of wallpaper or left over ply wood.

We have received very positive responses to the candles and lip balms and have had many comments about the local sourcing. Our new stand to be unveiled at the Merrion Centre will very proudly announce that our products are ‘Made in Yorkshire’.
