We are selling locally made candles and lip balms as part of the Leeds Enterprise Advisory Program (LEAP). Our candles are made from soya wax and are therefore more environmentally friendly than your average paraffin wax candle.
The lip balms, sourced in the Yorkshire dales are made entirely from beeswax, with two varieties of honey and chocolate, using wax from the Harrogate and Ripon Bee keeps association, (see green credentials). We have been selling at a range of events, from Christmas fairs to the Merrion centre in Leeds and hope to complete a successful trading year prior to our GCSE exams. We have recently introduced a new product to compliment the selection of candles. This is a room fragrance diffuser that creates the aroma of a candle without the need for supervision.
